Le Roman de Renart, a mediaeval tale written from the mid-12th to the late 13th century by different authors and familiar to all French schoolchildren, if only because its popularity resulted in Renart, the main character’s given name, replacing the common name of a widespread animal, goupil (fox). With the participation of several children in the vicinity of Villecroze, Gaël Lépingle and Julien Joubert continued writing this great saga. “Why not make this an “en chanted” tale, something like a musical comedy?”
