- Chamber Music
Founded in 1970 in the Music Academy class led by Professor Antonín Kohout, Trio Prague is one of the Czech Republic's greatest chamber music ensembles performing today.
The trio won the chamber music competition held by the Czech Ministry for Culture in 1971, and now performs in concerts in Prague and beyond the capital. In 1976, Trio Prague won Belgrade's international competition in the trio category, as well as three extraordinary prizes.
To date, Trio Prague has given over 1,700 concerts in most European countries, the United States, Japan, Mexico, Egypt, India and the Far East.
The ensemble's repertoire comprises classical works (international and Czech) as well as pieces by contemporary composers. Many pieces were written specifically with the trio in mind.
The trio teaches at the Académie musicale de Villecroze in 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006.
